ABOUT US

The Bayne Foundation is a private, 501(c)(3) family foundation, not-for-profit philanthropic organization, founded by William and Elizabeth Bayne in 2013 with their children, Patrick Cogan, Brittney Cogan and Mackenzie Bayne.

The Bayne Foundation does not operate its own programs, but performs its mission by funding proven programs through non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations.

Co-Founders

William Bayne is the co-founder of Micro Center, a chain of retail computer department stores, with more than 29 stores nationwide. Bill served in the US Army, where he was a computer programmer, returning home to study computer science at The Ohio State University. An avid pilot, Bill dedicates much of his time volunteering in the sky, providing free, non-emergency air travel for children and adults with serious medical conditions.

Elizabeth Bayne is a graduate of DePauw University and earned her MBA from Ashland University. She is a passionately involved member of her community, where she serves as a board member for the Whitefish Community Foundation on the Grants Committee and the Scholarship Committee, and on the Board of Trustees for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), a non-profit child advocacy program. An avid athlete, Betsy dedicates much of her time to raising awareness and funding for community needs through her participation in biking and hiking events, as well as more traditional philanthropic endeavors.

Directors

Patrick, the son of Bill and Betsy, is a graduate of The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, and Georgetown University's Corporate Finance Program. Patrick works with Micro Center, and is tasked with expanding the Foundation's presence in Columbus, Ohio. 

Brittney is a graduate of Villanova University and practices law in the field of intellectual property. 

Together, with their family, Patrick and Brittney donate their time and resources to recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities, including skiing, kayaking and biking. 

Mackenzie Bayne

 Director

Mackenzie, the daughter of Bill and Betsy, obtained her BFA from the University of Montana. Mackenzie is an artist, skilled in ceramics and fabric creations.
